A Weekend of Hacks
With the success (in my terms) of my recent LP, Pokémon Fire Red Version, I had decided to introduce a new segment for old and new Pokémon fans everywhere. In January 2014, although I already had an account, I became an active contributor of the Pokécommunity. What is Pokécommunity? It is a forum-centered website for Pokémon fans. There are about a dozen discussion threads and sub-threads relating to not just Pokémon, but also Let's Plays, Pokémon hacks, and reviews. It is a community of devoted fans. I recommend everyone join if he or she is a big Pokéfan (but does not dress up as Pikachu). I haven't been on the website much for the past couple months due to school, but I try my best to remain consistent with updates. But anyway, my browsing through the hacks that were being featured had persuaded me to become a hack reviewer, and launch my own segment on doing just that. Although I had already done a few hacks as I was starting out my channel (my first LP was actually a Pokéhack), I decided to make it more of a serious hobby instead of being part of the main repertoire. And so on January 17, 2014, A Weekend of Hacks was launched, airing three episodes of progressing Pokéhacks on weekend evenings.
Now to clear a few things up, you may notice that I said, "progressing." That means that it is more reserved for hacks that are in-progress and not complete. For complete Pokéhacks, however, those will count as main LPs and will be played regularly during the week. This also may apply to other kinds of hacks, like Super Mario World hacks, Super Mario 64, or Zelda Classic hacks, because those could be considered complete. Super Mario World demos, however, will be featured on A Weekend of Hacks, because they are works in progress, and it goes along with the main purpose of A Weekend of Hacks: to review hacks of Mario and Pokémon, young and old.
