Current Let's Plays
Here are some LPs I am currently doing on my YouTube channel. Please keep in mind that I may do two LPs back-to-back, and sometimes I may juggle between several. For the list of Pokémon hacks I am reviewing, click here.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (12/23(24)/2013 - present)
My first Zelda Let's Play. Ocarina of Time was a major breakthrough in the history of the 3D platformer. Not only was it the first 3D Zelda game, it, as well as Super Mario 64 and Star Fox 64, helped revolutionize the 3D genre. It introduces a new story in the Zelda universe. A young Hylian boy went into hiding as the Hyrulean Civil War was wearing down. Knowing his destiny, this boy set out to look for the three Spiritual Stones and travel through time to save Hyrule's fate. So far, the LP has come off to a rocky start. But hopefully as the story progresses, my commentary will develop significantly, as well as my audience. Currently, this LP is being put on hiatus for March due to transition and loss of interest.
Archived Let's Plays
These are LPs that were completed prior to the new LP. These LPs are sorted from newest to oldest. Keep in mind that these LPs may not have been completed 100%. I consider an LP done when I think it's done. I shouldn't have to force myself to get every single detail in a game. Click on a game to go to its playlist.
Pokémon Fire Red Version (8/1/2013 - 12/21/2013) (71 episodes)
My latest Let's Play. This is a remake of the first generation of Pokémon games. It starts out in the Kanto Region, back when we actually had 150 obtainable Pokémon (not including Mew). You follow the same theme as in any other Pokémon game: you start off in a small town, receive a "starter" Pokémon of Fire, Water, or Grass, face off against your rival, collect eight gym badges, while along the way, stop a villainous team from either taking over the world or using Pokémon for profitable gain, challenge the Elite Four + Champion to become the greatest Pokémon trainer, and finally (if you have the guts to do it), complete the Pokédex. This is the first Pokémon game I am doing that's not either a hack or slightly-modified hack. This was probably one of my channel's major breakthroughs second to Ash Gray, and I'm glad people are interested in my Pokémon material.

Paper Mario (3/17/2013 - 7/28/2013) (70 episodes)
How lucky for me to play my favorite game as my seventh LP! This playthrough almost played out like a metamorphosis. It started out with the basic original setup, and then moved on to S-video, producing a more optimal picture. And now with better video, there would soon be a better voice. I made the transition to headset after Chapter 5. And finally, I made the permanent stage into HD. So as of now, all of my videos are entirely in HD.
This game brought many memories for me. I remember when I first played this game, back when I was almost out of third grade. I wasn't kidding when I said that this was the family-friendly favorite! Almost everyone who came over to my house played (or tried) this game! And I got to relive that experience by Let's Playing it for you guys. The gameplay was great, the plot was formulaic (if not dramatic in some parts), and the music was excellent!

My fourth Pokémon hack. This one was one of the better ones, considering it played Hoenn music, which is one of my favorite soundtracks in any video game. The game had a well-developed plot, but there was some odd placements of music tracks, particularly in the forests. But overall, despite being a demo, I thought this hack deserved some potential.
Pokémon Liquid Ocean Version (2/23/2013 - 3/2/2013) (38 episodes)
My third Pokémon hack, which started off with an interesting plot line. The hack was good, but it had its flaws, as well, especially the increased difficulty of the gym leader, and its inability to guide the player through the game. I ended up lost, so it gave me an inkling that the hack was not exactly done.
Pokémon Gary Version (2/18/2013 - 2/22-2013) (2 episodes)
This hack is based on the original Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green versions, but the only changed aspect was the player sprite, so this time you got to play as Gary instead of Red. While I like the concept, it is basically playing just a slightly altered version of the originals, so it wouldn't be what I would contemplate as a hack
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (1/21/2013 - 2/17/2013) (14 episodes)
My first ever Kirby let's play, or what I would like to call "Kirby Köchel." A Köchel is actually a musicological method of cataloging Mozart's music. For example, Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik is catalogued K. 525, because that was Mozart's 525th work to be published chronologically (and yes, Mozart did write over 500 works of music, and some may have actually been lost or destroyed, as what usually happened during the Baroque and Classical periods). But back on the subject of let's playing this game, I had thought about doing this game for a long time now, because it is my favorite Kirby game. I had fun with this game years ago. I loved the music; I played around with the Sound Test a lot. And I loved seeing the first Kirby platformer I ever saw in 3D. (Back then, I didn't really play too many video games.) This game was a 100% run, as was needed to actually complete the storyline. There were also recording problems associated with this game, however. I played this game on the Virtual Console, and back then, I didn't have an S-video cable for the Wii (I still don't), and thus the picture came out a lot brighter when the Dazzle picked it up than the actual TV. So for some stages, I had to deal with bright picture, which was obviously invisible in some areas. Hopefully, things will be more optimal once I buy an S-video cable for the Wii later in the year.
Luigi's Mansion (12/23/2012 - 1/19/2013) (26 episodes)
My second LP is the Nintendo GameCube's first game to be released on that port. This game went really well, at least I wasn't too scared to play this game (well come on, how would you feel if you were a little kid who had to go through a creepy mansion for the very first time?). A good LP does always come with a couple flaws, however. My GameCube controller is perhaps the loudest controller ever (though my N64 controller is just as bad)! I guess I was just too lazy to edit my audio tracks back then (as a matter of fact, I was a little unaware of Audacity's Noise Removal program). Also, I had a couple near-death experiences, especially with that second boss (whom I really didn't have much trouble with), but when you fall under the Let's Play curse, you have to take a few risks. But overall, I think I did a good job doing this game.
Pokémon Ash Gray Version (9/7/2012 - 12/22/2012) (69 episodes)
My first LP ever! After a couple tries at trying to launch my channel, I decided to start this game because it looked like an interesting hack to play. And it was! The designer did an excellent job trying to re-enact the anime. Of course, when I first started playing the game, I didn't realize that you were "supposed" to play the game like the anime, but I guess that was what the events were programmed for. But I decide to go a little more experimental with this LP by ignoring the conventional gameplay and went all the way UP TO THE END OF THE GAME! Despite the Elite Four and Champion being outrageously tougher than their original counterparts, this was a great game to play. I was proud to officially do this hack as a starter to my channel!
